We the Kings is an American rock band from Bradenton, Florida, currently signed to record label S-Curve Records. The band has released six studio albums (the latest being 2018's "Six") and completed a variety of tours. We the Kings also sports their own miniature series of webisodes, called 'The King's Carriage," detailing life on their tour bus. Furthermore, on MTV, We The Kings appeared on the show Silent Library.

The band members (Travis Clark - Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar/Piano, Hunter Thomsen - Lead Guitar ,Coley O'Toole - Backing Vocals/Piano, Charles Trippy - Bass, Danny Duncan - Drums) first met at Martha B. King Middle School in Bradenton, and their name refers to the school mascot. The group began playing together while at Manatee High School in the early 2000s, and landed on the PureVolume Top 10 list after hiring a manager.

We the Kings(WTK) is an American rock band formed in Bradenton, Florida, in 2005. The band's eponymous full-length debut album, released in 2007, included the platinum single "Check Yes Juliet," and went on to sell over 250,000 copies in the US. The group's second album Smile Kid(2009) included Top 40 singles "Heaven Can Wait" and "We'll Be a Dream" (featuring Demi Lovato), as well as the single "She Takes Me High".

We the Kings is the debut studio album by American rock band We the Kings, released on October 2, 2007 in the U.S.

Background

We the Kings formed in 2005 while its members attended Manatee High School.[6] The band's line-up consisted of vocalist Travis Clark, guitarist Hunter Thomsen, bassist Drew Thomsen, and drummer Danny Duncan.[6] In summer, the group toured with Don't Die Cindy.[6]PureVolume, a place where people could upload their music, helped the band's popularity.[6]

We the Kings was produced by S*A*M and Sluggo, and recorded at Mission Sound, and Fresh Kills Music, both in New York City. Sean Gould and Scott Riebling acted as engineers. Lou Giordano mixed almost every track, save for "Secret Valentine", "Check Yes Juliet", and "Stay Young", which were done by Tom Lord-Alge and his assistant Femio Hernandez.
