Zitto Kabwe Biography – Personal Life, Education, Career and More
Born September 24th, 1976, Zitto Zuberi R. Kabwe is a Tanzanian politician and member of Tanzania’s main opposition party (Party for Democracy and Progress) from 1992 until he was expelled in 2015. He is popularly called Zitto Kabwe and served two terms in the Tanzanian Parliament, representing the Kigoma North Constituency between 2005 and 2015.
Zitto Kabwe chaired the Public Accounts Committee of the Tanzanian parliament and also chaired the standing committee of the parliament, where he supervised over 250 government-owned companies.
Zitto Zuberi Kabwe formally joinedACT Wazalendo on March 19th, 2015, and currently serves as the party’s leader.

Personal Life
Kabwe was birthed in Mwandiga, a village located in Tanzania’s Kigoma District. His mom, Shida S. Mohammed, had ten kids – four boys and six girls. His mom died in the Tanzanian city of Dar es Salaam on June 1st, 2014, after battling cervical cancer for years. Shida Mohammed served as the chairperson of CHAWATA till her death.

In November 2019 the then President of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Excellency the late John Pombe Magufuli, un-procedurally removed from office the then Controller and Auditor General (CAG), Professor Mussa Assad, for reasons best known to him. It should be noted that CAG’s office has been established by the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, 1977 as amended (URT Constitution), and that whoever shall be appointed to that office his/her security of tenure has been guaranteed under Article 114 of the URT Constitution and section 6(2) of the Public Audit Act No 11 of 2008. One among several guarantees of security of tenure for CAG’s office is that whoever has been appointed under that office shall not be removed from office before the retirement age 65 years.
Professor Mussa Assad was born on 6th October 1961. Therefore, in November 2019 when he was removed from office he had not attained the retirement age and as such he was un-procedurally removed from office.

Zitto Zuberi Ruyagwa Kabwe (born on 24 September 1976), popularly known as Zitto Kabwe, is a Tanzanian politician and party leader of ACT-Wazalendo.[2]
He was a member of the opposition party, Chadema, from 1992 until his expulsion in March 2015. He served as a two term Member of Parliament for the Kigoma North constituency from 2005 to 2015.[3]
He was also the Chairman of the parliamentary Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as well as the chair of the parliamentary standing committee where he oversaw more than 250 State-Owned Companies.[4]
On 19 March 2015, he officially co-founded the Alliance for Change and Transparency and serves as its leader.
