Joel Roy “Joe” Roy R. Duavit was born on March 19, 1965. He was the Representative of the 1st District of Rizal for the 15th and 16th Congress. He is a Businessman and a Politician.
He is a graduate of La Salle Greenhills for his secondary education and took Bachelor of Science and Technology and Accounting at Hawaii University in Killeen, Texas.
During his term as Congressman in the House of Representatives during the 15th Congress he became the Vice Chairman of the Committee on Information and Communication Technology and also of the Committee on Trade and Industry. The first legislative district of Rizal is composed of the municipalities of Angono, Binangonan, Cainta, and Taytay.
On October 16, 2020, Congressman Duavit was designated as the caretaker of the first legislative district of Camarines Sur which was vacated with the death of Congresswoman Marissa Andaya. He replaced former Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano who was earlier designated as the caretaker.
